Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) refrained from explicitly stating that Vice President Kamala Harris is “the best” running mate for President Biden during an interview with CNN host Jake Tapper on Thursday.
Tapper raised this issue after former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi declined to provide a direct response regarding Harris’s suitability as a running mate for Biden in the upcoming 2024 presidential election.
Tapper probed further, noting that Pelosi’s response lacked a resounding endorsement and asked Raskin for his opinion on whether Vice President Kamala Harris was the optimal choice as President Biden’s running mate and how he interpreted Speaker Pelosi’s response to the question.
