South Carolina GOP Rep. Ralph Norman said Tuesday that House Republicans plan to put together a budget in the next two weeks that will cut up to $17 trillion.
“You will see in the next two weeks the beginnings of a great budget that offsets any increase in the debt ceiling,” Norman told the “Just the News, No Noise” TV show. “You will see a budget that has severe cuts that will be in excess of $17 trillion.”
Norman has been one of the most outspoken members of Congress when it comes to government spending and getting it under control.
