Return To Power

President-elect Donald Trump is spending the eve of his inauguration in a series of Washington events that celebrate his return to power as he prepares to move back into the White House at a time of deep national political divisions.

Sunday is Trump’s first full day back in the capital since winning the election. He placed a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery and will later address a rally downtown at Capital One Arena.

Previously, no heads of state have made an official visit to the U.S. for an inauguration. But this year, Chinese Vice President Han Zheng, Argentina’s President Javier Milei and Italy’s Premier Giorgia Meloni will be in attendance.

JD Vance greeted the Chinese vice president, welcoming his soon-to-be counterpart to the United States and the inauguration. More here
