Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis hit back at 2024 GOP rival South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott on Friday for criticizing the state’s new curriculum about the history of slavery.
Scott slammed the governor on Thursday for promoting the curriculum, which educates students about “developed skills which, in some instances, could be applied for their personal benefit.”
DeSantis was asked to respond to the senator’s remarks on the campaign trail in Iowa, and argued Scott was accepting “false narratives” pushed by the likes of Vice President Kamala Harris.
