Russia Raises Draft Age To 30, Will Grab 2.4 Million More For War

On Tuesday, Russia made a significant move by expanding its military conscription base.
This decision came after a successful vote in the lower house, which raised the upper age limit from 27 to 30. Once the bill is signed into law by President Vladimir Putin, it is expected to bring an additional 2.4 million men into Russia’s forces.
Furthermore, the bill will introduce a provision that prohibits conscripts from leaving the country once they are called up for duty. This expansion and new legislation will undoubtedly have a profound impact on Russia’s military capabilities and the overall defense strategy of the nation.
