A recent survey conducted by DMH Research, a Portland-based firm, revealed that the majority of voters in progressive Oregon are inclined to reverse the decriminalization of drugs.
They attribute the lenient approach to the escalating crime rates and homelessness issues. Out of the 500 respondents surveyed last month, 51% expressed the belief that Measure 110, which decriminalized the possession of personal amounts of drugs like heroin, meth, and fentanyl, has had a detrimental effect on the state.
Over 60% of the voters indicated that they perceive the legislation as exacerbating drug addiction, homelessness, and crime in the Beaver State.
