Security measures have been heightened for U.S. District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan, who is overseeing the federal criminal case involving former President Donald Trump in Washington, D.C., according to CNN.
CNN’s report indicates that security protocols within the courtroom and around the Washington D.C. courthouse, where the case is being conducted, were reinforced during Trump’s recent arraignment and might see further enhancements.
As part of the ongoing legal proceedings, federal prosecutors are requesting a “protective order” from Judge Chutkan to limit Trump and his legal team from disseminating information obtained during the discovery process of his 2020 election case. In response, Trump is urging Judge Chutkan to recuse herself from the matter.
