A report from the London Evening Standard reveals that a severed finger from a “living human being” was delivered to the official residence of French President Emmanuel Macron, the Elysee Palace in Paris.
The finger, received on Monday, arrived without any accompanying note or message, according to the outlet. Upon its discovery, palace police promptly placed the severed finger in a refrigerator to ensure its preservation and facilitate the identification of the sender. France has experienced a series of riots and protests related to various issues throughout the year.
A source shared with the newspaper, “The finger was initially put in a fridge where the police put their snacks. This was to make sure it was preserved and could be analyzed as quickly as possible.”
