Small Plane Crashes In Waters Off Myrtle Beach

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has launched an investigation into a recent crash involving a small banner-towing plane that plunged into the waters off Myrtle Beach.
The incident occurred on Monday around 11:30 a.m. local time and involved a single-engine Piper PA-18 aircraft. According to the FAA, the plane was carrying only the pilot at the time of the crash. The agency stated that it will be conducting a joint investigation with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) to determine the cause of the accident.
This comes just days after a similar banner-towing plane crash occurred in New Hampshire, prompting heightened scrutiny into the safety and regulations of such operations.
