The movie “Sound of Freedom” has achieved a significant milestone by grossing over $150 million at the box office in just four weeks since its release.
The film tells the inspiring story of Tim Ballard, an American anti-human trafficking activist who founded Operation Underground Railroad. Despite facing obstacles, including being told to stand down by the Department of Homeland Security, Ballard embarked on a dangerous mission to rescue children held captive by traffickers in South America. Originally filmed in 2018 and later acquired by Angel Studios, the movie was released on July 4th, 2023, exceeding expectations with a budget of $14.5 million and limited marketing.
Although it has only been released in the United States and Canada, the film has garnered tremendous success and is yet to be released internationally.
