Squad Member Faces Ethics Complaint Over Campaign Payments To Her Husband

A conservative group has taken further action on its prior ethics complaint against Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO), a member of the “Squad,” regarding recent campaign payments made to her husband, as reported by documents obtained by the Washington Examiner.
In March, the Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust, a right-leaning watchdog, and the Committee to Defeat the President, a super PAC, lodged ethics complaints against Bush, alleging potential violations of federal law.
The complaints centered around accusations that she directed $60,000 in campaign funds in 2022 to Cortney Merritts for private security, raising concerns over possible improprieties.
