Substitute Teacher Charged With Child Abuse After Letting 7th Grader Use Her Vape Pen

Jennifer Hale, a substitute teacher in Florida, has been charged with child abuse for allegedly allowing a seventh-grade student to take a hit off her vape pen.

Hale, 50, was working at Eutis Middle School, which is situated 40 miles northwest of Orlando, when she overheard a student talking about vaping.

According to WESH-TV, Hale then offered the boy a hit from her vape pen, claiming she wanted to fit in. The police report, obtained by the station, stated that the student reported that a substitute teacher named Jennifer had offered him a vape pen after hearing his friend express interest in trying it.
