Surge In Applicants Shows FBI Is Cool Again Now That It’s Fighting Crime

A record number of new agent applications were submitted to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) during Director Kash Patel’s first full month in his post.

The bureau received 5,577 new applications in March, Fox News Digital first reported.

“Recruiting the best and bravest law enforcement personnel to serve is a top priority for Director Patel and Deputy Director Bongino,” FBI spokesman Ben Williamson told the Daily Caller.

In April 2016, the FBI received 5,283 applications, the outlet noted. This was the most recent example of a monthly total close to the number of applications submitted in March.
