Police on Monday arrested a suspect on murder charges in connection with the shootings of two people found dead last week inside a University of Colorado-Colorado Springs dorm room.
The Colorado Springs Police Department have identified the person arrested as Nicholas Jordan, 25.
The victims have been identified as Celie Rain Montgomery, 26, and Samuel Knopp, 24, a student at the university, about 69 miles south of Denver.
After Jordan had been identified as a suspect, the police department’s motor vehicle theft unit found him in a car, then a tactical enforcement unit took him into custody.
The shooting Friday appeared to be an “isolated incident” between people who knew each other, not a random attack at the school, police said.
