Authorities on Tuesday arrested a Virginia woman in connection with the February killing of a Republican New Jersey councilwoman outside of her home.
The suspect has been identified as Rashid Aly Bynum, 28, of Smithfield, Virginia, who has been charged with the killing, which authorities say was targeted.
The council woman, Eunice Dwumfour was gunned down outside of her apartment Feb. 1., while parking her SUV.
Witnesses reported seeing a white vehicle near the shooting, which eventually led police to Bynum, who worked with Dwumfour at a Nigerian-based church and owned a white Hyundai Elantra.
