Agroup of undocumented migrants started a protest at the southwest border on Monday, prompting U.S. authorities to close the Paso Del Norte International Bridge, which links El Paso, Texas with Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.
The protests started after more than 300 migrants were amassed on the Mexican side of the border in protest of the online app they are required to use to apply for U.S. asylum hearings.
However, the app, which was released in 2020, has been plagued by technical issues. Disgruntled users claim that the app crashed when they try to upload any information for the asylum application, hindering their asylum claims and delaying the process.
