Through Operation Lone Star, Texas DPS troopers have rescued over 900 children from human traffickers attempting to smuggle them into and through Texas from Mexico.
Since its launch, the operation has led to the apprehension of over 401,900 illegal foreign nationals and more than 32,400 criminal arrests.
Additionally, CBP agents have reported a significant increase in arrests of noncitizens at ports of entry, with over 15,000 encounters of individuals with criminal convictions so far this fiscal year.
