Thousands Evacuated After Wildfire Hits Southern California

Southern California authorities issued evacuation orders for thousands of residents as a wildfire, named the Highland Fire, swept through rural areas southeast of Los Angeles on Monday.
The blaze ignited around 12:45 p.m. in the dry hills within Riverside County’s Aguanga area.
As of Tuesday morning, the fire had expanded to encompass over 2,200 acres with no containment progress, as reported by the county fire department.
