Former President Donald Trump expressed his opposition to President Joe Biden’s push for electric vehicles on social media, cautioning that it could lead to the demise of the U.S. auto manufacturing industry in states like Michigan.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump stated, “The great State of Michigan will not have an auto industry anymore if crooked Joe Biden’s crazed concept of ‘all Electric Cars’ goes into effect.” He further asserted that China would dominate the industry entirely, capturing 100% of it.
Trump also made an appeal to the United Auto Workers, urging them to vote for him and encouraging their leaders to endorse him. He promised to preserve existing jobs and create additional opportunities, emphasizing the importance of choice, both in education and in the automotive sector.
