Former President Trump on Sunday praised the judge overseeing his classified documents case.
Trump made the comment Judge Aileen Cannon on the Fox News Channel’s “Sunday Morning Futures” show as his legal team seeks a postponement from her of his trial in Florida.
The Trump team made the request in court filing Monday.
Cannon, was appointed to the bench by Trump.
The former president on the show acknowledged having appointed Cannon and said, “But she’s very smart and very strong, and loves our country.”
