Trump Talks Tough

Donald Trump struck an aggressive tone on immigration while campaigning in Iowa Wednesday, vowing to move thousands of active-duty troops stationed overseas to the U.S.-Mexico border as well as reviving and expanding a travel ban targeting Muslim-majority countries if he is reelected president.
“Before we defend the borders of foreign countries, we must secure the border of our country,” he said to cheers at a Dubuque campaign rally.
Trump took a hardline approach to immigration in his first term, and many of his policies were controversial. He promised to expand on them if he is returned to the White House.
