President Trump is hitting back at 51 former intelligence officials who signed the letter claiming that Hunter Biden’s “Laptop from Hell” leak was likely a Russian disinformation campaign.
The disgraced intelligence chiefs signed a document that stated the leak “has all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.”
Some intelligence officials who appended their signature to the letter include former CIA Director John Brennan, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta.
According to Fox News, Trump will suspend the security clearances of the former intelligence officials on his first day in office.
“Trump, on his first day, will also suspend the security clearances for the 51 national security officials who “lied” about Hunter BIden’s laptop ahead of the 2020 presidential election,” Fox News reported.
The letter they signed was critical in downplaying Hunter’s crimes and shielding his father from scrutiny during the hotly contested 2020 presidential election, which he contentiously won.
