Trump Will Not Seek To Move Georgia Trial To Federal Court

Attorneys representing former President Donald Trump in his 2020 Georgia election case have disclosed that Trump has opted not to pursue the relocation of the case from Fulton County to federal court.
As reported by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, a notice submitted to Fulton Superior Court by lawyers Steve Sadow and Jennifer Little stated that Trump’s decision was based on his confidence in the court’s commitment to safeguarding his constitutional right to a fair trial.
This development occurred three weeks after Mark Meadows, Trump’s former chief of staff, had his request to transfer his case to federal court denied by US District Court Judge Steve Jones, who ruled that Meadows did not meet the necessary legal criteria for such a move.
