Former President Donald Trump expressed on Sunday that one of his primary opponents could be a potential choice for vice president or cabinet members if he were to win the White House in 2024.
During an interview on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures,” Trump mentioned businessman Vivek Ramaswamy and Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) as potential options for his running mate. While Trump has recently criticized Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in the GOP primary, DeSantis has indicated in a recent interview that he would not be interested in serving as Trump’s vice president.
When questioned by host Maria Bartiromo about the possibility of selecting a running mate from the Republican 2024 primary contenders, Trump responded, “possibly,” suggesting that he is open to considering his former primary opponents for key positions within his administration if he were to secure the presidency once again.
