Univision anchor Jorge Ramos, who clashed with Donald Trump in 2016 presidential campaign, is now criticizing his network for its recent interview with the former president.
Ramos in a newspaper opinion essay said the interview was too “friendly” and “put in doubt the independence of our news department.”
Univision CEO Wade Davis seemed to defend the interview largely by pointing to its historical relevance, saying, “The interview with former President Trump was the first in 22 years of a current or former Republican President.”
