US Air Force Member Who Set Self On Fire Outside Israel Embassy In DC Has Died

The U.S. Air Force member who this past weekend set himself on fire outside of the Israel Embassy in Washington, D.C., died Monday, according to officials.

Police have identified the airman as 25-year-old Aaron Bushnell of San Antonio, Texas.

The incident occurred at about 1 p.m. Sunday, shortly before D.C. Fire Department and EMS officials responded.

Bushnell was dressed in military fatigues, and  filmed himself yelling “Free Palestine” before collapsing to the ground.
