U.S. and coalition forces operating in the Middle East have faced a total of 23 attacks since mid-October, as reported by a senior defense official on Monday.
During the period spanning from October 17 to October 30, American military personnel experienced 14 rocket and drone attacks in Iraq and an additional nine such incidents in Syria.
According to U.S. officials, there is a belief that these assaults are orchestrated by Iranian-backed militant groups.
