US Teen Cycling Prodigy Killed During Training Ride

Tragedy struck the world of cycling as seventeen-year-old American cyclist Magnus White, who had been set to participate in the upcoming world championships in Scotland, lost his life on Saturday in a collision with a vehicle during a training ride near his residence in Boulder, Colorado. USA Cycling confirmed his passing in an official statement released on Sunday.
Magnus White was a promising and versatile young talent, showcasing his prowess by securing a junior national championship in cyclocross in 2021 and earning a coveted spot on the U.S. national team.
He represented the team in Europe ahead of the cyclocross world championships last year and was once again chosen to represent the United States at the prestigious cyclocross world event held this year in the Netherlands.
