WH Press Sec Jean-Pierre Criticized For Saying Soldiers Died For ‘Administration’ In Drone Strike

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre sparked criticism Monday by saying the three U.S. soldiers killed over the weekend in a drone attack in Jordan died for the “administration,” instead of America.

He made the comment on MNSBC-TV.

Our deepest, obviously our deepest condolences go out, and our heartfelt condolences go out to the families who lost, uh, three, three brave, uh, three brave, uh, three brave, three folks who are military folks, who are brave, who are always fighting, who are fighting on behalf of, uh, this administration, of the American people, obviously more so, more importantly,” she said, according to the New York Post.

Jeremy Redfern, press secretary for Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis, was among those to criticize.

“The idea that anyone in the military is fighting on behalf of any administration is precisely what is wrong with the DC ruling class.”

The soldier were at a military installation reportedly in a demilitarized zone.

President Biden has said blamed Iran-backed militias for the casualties.
