NYC Mayor Adams Calls Texas Gov. Abbott ‘Madman’ Over Migrant Busing

New York City Mayor Eric Adams attributed the growing migrant crisis in the city to a program initiated by Texas Governor Greg Abbott as part of his Operation Lone Star border security mission.
During a town hall meeting on September 6, Mayor Adams mentioned that the city’s recovery had been disrupted by the influx of migrants, referring to Governor Abbott as a “madman down in Texas” who had initiated a program to transport people to New York City.
“A hundred ten thousand migrants left to feed, clothe, house, educate the children, wash their laundry sheets — everything they need,” Adams added.
