Weekend Deal Between Teamsters, UPS Lessens Possibility Of Post-July 4 Delivery Strike

The International Brotherhood of Teamsters announced Saturday the union has reached a tentative deal with the United Parcel Service that could lower the chances of a nationwide strike as negotiations continue.
The is related to ending a dual wage system for delivery drivers in its next contract, which is being considered a win for Big Labor.
“During a hard-fought day at the bargaining table, the #Teamsters reached [a] tentative agreement with @UPS on three major economic issues,” the union tweeted.
Other concessions, the union said, is UPS  establishing Martin Luther King Day as a full holiday for the first time and ending “forced overtime on drivers’ days off.”
