American Soldier Travis King In US Custody After North Korean Detainment

The North Korean government has released a U.S. serviceman who had been in detention since July.
U.S. Army Pvt. Travis King, who had been held in North Korean custody for several months, was returned to U.S. authorities in mainland China on Wednesday. This development was reported by North Korean state media and corroborated by the U.S. National Security Council.
According to the Korean Central News Agency, a state media outlet of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), it was decided to expel Travis King, a U.S. Army soldier who had unlawfully entered DPRK territory, in accordance with the laws of the Republic.
