The Australian government issued a TikTok ban from all government devices after a security review by Home Affairs Minister Claire O’Neil.
Under the ban, politicians and public servants are prohibited from downloading the social media app on government-issued devices.
Australia’s Attorney General Mark Dreyfus said the ban will go into effect “as soon as practicable” with exemptions granted on a case-by-case basis.
