Biden Paves Way For Foreign Countries To Increase Influence Ops On U.S. Think Tanks

A Trump-era policy that created more transparency from foreign policy think tanks has been repealed by President Biden’s State Department, according to The New Republic.
Under a policy implemented by Trump’s Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, State Department officials were discouraged from dealing with think tanks that accepted foreign funding and didn’t disclose it.
Pompeo didn’t make the policy mandatory on think tanks, but made it clear that it would weigh heavily on whether State would deal with them.
