According to Reuters, a prominent U.S. cyber official issued a warning on Monday, highlighting the likelihood of Chinese hackers engaging in disruptive activities targeting critical infrastructure in the United States.
Jen Easterly, the director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), expressed concern over the Chinese government’s significant investments in undermining U.S. infrastructure.
Speaking at an event hosted by the Aspen Institute, Easterly acknowledged the formidable threat posed by Chinese state actors, their extensive capabilities, and the substantial resources and efforts devoted to cyber sabotage.
