Daughter Hosts MSNBC Show, Wasn’t In Chair This Weekend, Indictment Could Complicate Job

The daughter of New Jersey Democrat Sen. Bob Menendez, Alicia, did not host her weekend MSNBC show, following the announcement Friday of her father’s federal indictment on bribery charges.
The show is titled “American Voices with Alicia Menendez” and airs every Saturday and Sunday at 6 p.m.
Former Democratic presidential candidate Julián Castro filled in for Menendez and said she would return the following weekend.
The reason for her absence this past weekend is unknown.
Mediate.com writes: “The most obvious question that comes to mind is, ‘Will MSNBC allow Menendez to address the scandal in any way?” One might be quick to assume the answer is an an easy no, but if CNN’s handling of the Andrew Cuomo sexual misconduct case is any indication, that assumption can’t be taken for granted.
Andrew Cuomo’s brother was a CNN anchor at the time of the sexual misconduct scandal.
