In a recent report by Politico, it was revealed that Ron DeSantis declined to accept $350 million in “energy efficiency” grants derived from the Green New Deal bill.
Politico aptly notes that the legislation “grants governors the prerogative to obstruct a select few of its programs, thereby enabling them to mitigate the political repercussions of the legislation.”
So far, DeSantis is the first governor to reject the Biden administration’s legislation.
