GOP Presidential Candidate Wants To Raise Voting Age To 25

Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy has proposed raising the voting age to 25, with exceptions for those 18 and older who serve in the military, work as emergency responders, or take a naturalization test.

Ramaswamy stated that the proposal would help address a 25% recruitment deficit in the military and low national pride among young Americans.

He added that the Civic Duty Voting approach, particularly the service path, creates a sense of shared purpose and experience at a time when young Americans are taught to celebrate their differences.
