Hobbs Bashes Biden Over Title 42 Readiness, ‘Not Received An Adequate Response’

Newly-elected Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs was critical Monday about the level of preparedness by the federal government run by fellow Democrat President Biden for the end of Title 42 later this week, saying, “We have not received an adequate response” about plan for the related and expected surge of migrants at the southern U.S. border.

Title 42 is a decades-old public health order activated by former President Trump during the pandemic to allow the U.S. to immediate require illegal immigrants to return to their home country.

Biden and called for an end to the country’s COVID-19 pandemic-related public emergency on Thursday, which will deactivate Title 42.

“I’m afraid these challenges will only get worse,” Hobbs also said.

She also said that she’s worried the federal government is “unprepared” and that the situation is “incredibly frustrating.”
