Israel Shot Down Missile Fired From Yemen

Militants believed to be Houthi rebels launched a medium-range ballistic missile from Yemen towards Israel on Tuesday, as reported by two U.S. officials.
In response, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that the missile was successfully intercepted by the Arrow air defense system, a joint development by Israel and the U.S. The IDF confirmed the launch of a surface-to-surface missile originating from the direction of the Red Sea, but it did not specify its exact origin in Yemen.
The U.S. officials clarified that the missile, with a range exceeding 2,000 kilometers (about 1,240 miles), did not pose a threat to U.S. Navy ships in the Red Sea or U.S. troops and personnel in the region.
