Judge Rules Biden Admin Must Stop Removing Border Razor Wire

A federal appellate judge has issued a temporary injunction, instructing the federal government to halt the removal of razor wire barriers along the Texas border. This decision acknowledges the need to await a federal judge’s ruling on the matter before proceeding with the removal.

The legal dispute over these terrestrial and floating razor wire barriers has been ongoing between Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) and the federal government.

Abbott ordered the installation of these barriers in the middle of the Rio Grande as part of Operation Lone Star in September, leading to the current court battle.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) expressed satisfaction with the appellate court’s decision, stating, “I am very pleased the appellate court has forbidden federal agents sent by the Biden administration from destroying our concertina wire fences.”

Paxton emphasized the necessity of taking every available step to address the ongoing challenges at the southern border.

Despite accusations from Abbott and his allies, including Paxton, characterizing President Biden’s approach as an “open border policy,” statistics indicate that migrants are four times more likely to face deportation under Biden than they were during the tenure of former President Trump.
