Loudoun County Students Walk Out To Protest Trans Bathroom Policy

A walkout took place in Loudoun County, Virginia, where dozens of students protested against the gender bathroom policies. This progressive district has been a focal point of demonstrations following a highly publicized incident in which a student was sexually assaulted by another student in the girls’ restroom.
Students from Woodgrove High School in Purcellville participated in the walkout on Wednesday, highlighting their opposition to Policy 8040.
This policy permits transgender, nonbinary, and gender-fluid students to choose restrooms and locker rooms that align with their gender identity. Despite the school board’s 7-2 vote to implement this rule in 2021, students expressed their desire to revert to separate female and male-only facilities, as reported by WJLA.
