In a recent interview, former Representative Adam Kinzinger (R-Illinois) lightheartedly mentioned that since he now resides in Houston, he would find it “fun” to potentially run against Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) in the future.
Speaking on ABC’s “538” podcast with Galen Druke, Kinzinger humorously remarked that running against Ted Cruz in a Texas congressional race could be an interesting endeavor.
He clarified that he had no immediate plans to do so but acknowledged that it would indeed be an intriguing scenario. He added that such a contest would allow him to confront what he views as a prominent figure in the realm of politics, describing Cruz as a “complete con artist.”
