Las Vegas police arrested Duane “Keffe D” Davis on Friday morning in connection with the deadly 1996 drive-by shooting of Tupac Shakur, marking a significant development in a case that has intrigued the public and confounded investigators for 27 years.
The specific charges against Davis have not yet been disclosed, but sources with direct knowledge of the arrest, who spoke on the condition of anonymity due to the pending indictment, confirmed the arrest.
Davis, who has been a known figure to investigators and openly discussed his involvement in the 1996 shooting in interviews and his 2019 memoir, “Compton Street Legend,” admitted to being in the Cadillac from which the fatal gunfire was unleashed. Shakur was just 25 years old when he tragically lost his life.
