Take Off: Transatlantic Flights Back To 99% Of Pre-COVID Travel Levels

Transatlantic travel is projected to hit 99% of pre-pandemic levels in May, according to data from aviation analytics firm Cirium published Friday, with 4,414 flights scheduled to depart Britain for the United States this month.
Newsmax reported that Cirium said that compared to 4,456 flights in May 2019, before widespread travel restrictions were put in place to slow the spread of COVID-19.
Transatlantic flights from Britain to the United States are up 22% compared to May last year and up 493% compared with May 2021, Cirium said, as business and leisure trips resume.
