Former President Donald Trump’s lawyer has announced that Trump intends to move his criminal case in New York to federal court to avoid a state court trial scheduled to begin early next year.
During a hearing on Thursday, attorney Todd Blanche stated that Trump’s legal team intends to file a motion requesting the transfer of the case to a federal court, as per multiple reports.
The 45th president pleaded not guilty last month to 34 felony charges of falsifying business records linked to hush money payments made during the 2016 campaign to cover up allegations of an affair.
