An elderly man jumped to his death from the roof of a luxury Manhattan apartment building on Thursday, marking the third senior citizen suicide in the Big Apple in just 24 hours.
New York City police say the 73-year-old man plunged from the roof of the 63-story condominium tower on 50 West Street at around 10.30am, and was found lying on the ground unconscious and unresponsive.
The unidentified man sustained ‘injuries indicative of falling from an elevated position,’ police said, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
